Lizzy Duffy
Elizabeth, or Lizzy, is a 20-something writer who will graduate in May with a print journalism degree from the University of Montana in Missoula. She currently works as a web intern for Mamalode Magazine and is also web editor of the School of Journalism’sMontana Journalism Review. Lizzy specializes in print, having served as an arts and culture reporter for the university student newspaper, the Montana Kaimin. She also has experience with photojournalism and multimedia.
A long time Idahoan, Lizzy returned to her roots to intern for Boise Weekly during summer 2011. She wrote hard news, features and regular blogs for the publication.
Lizzy is a wide-eyed reporter, looking for the story behind the story. She enjoys investigative reporting about today and also about the past. Lizzy has a strong passion for the world’s history and hopes to one day write narrative features about old America, specifically in the eastern United States.
Outside of journalism, Lizzy loves coffee, This American Life and languages. She travels when she can and she keeps her nose in a book when she can’t—her current reading list includes anything by Sarah Vowell or Joyce Carol Oates.
