Inspired by the natural world, Mel Griffin creates wall tiles using imagrery from field guide drawings and her experince as an outdoor guide and educator. Griffin recieved her MFA from the University of Minnesota and her BA from Carlton College in Northfield, Minn.
Using his graphic design background, Andrew Gilliatt fuses computer generated decals with died clay in his pieces. Gilliatt received his MFA in ceramics from Louisiana State University and his BFA in graphic design from Virginia Tech
Inspired by the ambiance of the domestic realm, Giselle Hicks uses slip-casting to create intricate "wall quilts." Hicks received her MFA from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and her BFA from Syracuse University.
Drawing from nostalgic imagery, Chris Pickett creates functional pieces emphasizing physical and psychological comfort. Pickett received his MFA from the University of Florida and his BFA from the University of Tennessee.
Departing from functionality, Sunshine Cobb fuses wood and clay to create abstract wall pieces. Cobb received her MFA in ceramics from Utah State University and her BA in studio art from California State University.
